Mrs. Virginia E. "Bim" (Turner) Hinckley of Melrose died Sunday morning, December 11, 2005 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose.
Mrs. Hinckley was born in Boston, December 11, 1923, daughter of the late Edward Turner and Lila (Foster) Turner. Mrs. Hinckley and her husband, Dick, had shared 59 years of marriage.She was a member and past president of Phi Theta Xi Sorority, Past President of the Melrose Women's Republican Club and Chairperson of the Melrose Election Commission. Wife of Richard B. "Dick" Hinckley.Mother of Beverly A. Hinckley of Melrose and Alan W. Hinckley and his wife, Linda of Waterdown, Ontario, CN.Sister of Edward Turner of Spring, TX and the late Ruth Locke, Mildred Turner and Louise Brown.Grandmother of Laura Hinckley, Richard Hinckley and Adam Hinckley all of Ontario, CN.Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Saturday, Dec. 17 at 10AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Friday, 4-6PM.Gifts in her memory may be made to Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Rd., Malden, MA 02148.
