Mr. Thakkar was born July 22, 1909 in Amrapur, India, son of the late Jinabhai Abhani and Valiben (Vithlani) Abhani.
Mr. Thakkar and his wife, Vrajkunvar, had shared 66 years of marriage. He volunteered at the Melrose Public Library repairing book bindings.
Beloved husband of Vrajkunvar (Chotai) Thakkar.Loving father of Leela Sanchdev of Alloa, Scotland, Sudha Gadhia of Detroit, MI, Rohini Sodha of Las Vegas, NV and Bharti Thakkar and Ajay Thakkar, both of Melrose.Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
