IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard A.
Ross
December 15, 1960 – December 17, 2025
Richard A. Ross, resident of Haverhill, passed away surrounded by those he loved and held dear to his heart on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at age 65.
Born in Stoneham on December 15, 1960, Rich was one of fourteen children of the late James E. Ross and Theresa M. (Nash) Ross. He was raised on the Route 1 side of Lynnfield and was a graduate of Lynnfield High School. Rich was married to Anna-Maria Jodrey and settled in Haverhill where he established roots by forging his own way and building the family home. Rich worked as a craftsman and carpenter for much of his life, but his proudest accomplishment and enduring legacy is being a father to his beloved daughters and best friends, Andrea and Theresa.
A one-of-a-kind guy, Rich lived life with a fun loving, independent streak that was matched only by his love of his family. Working in the trades gave him the freedom to be home, creating a unique home of laughter and adventure for his daughters. He inspired them with his love for fast motorsport and loud music at all hours of the day, but balanced it with a sensitive touch for animals, and a love for gardening and antiquing. Together, Rich and his daughters explored the world, learning from experience how to figure things out on your own, and above all, how to have fun.
With his family, Rich loved camping, fishing, and found everyday peace outdoors working in the garden. Raised in a horse racing family, Rich always maintained his lifelong interest and innate love for horses. A regular guy at heart, Rich enjoyed a strong cup of coffee, a medium-rare steak, a walk with his grand dogs, Dino and Burger, and a good laugh shared with the people he loved. He always had a camera with him to capture life's moments, big and small.
Rich will be deeply missed, but his influence lives on through his daughters who carry his confident strength, laugh out loud humor, and stubborn independence with them every day. As he proudly said time and again, "we had fun" and he was right. May he rest in peace.
Rich is survived by his cherished daughters, Andrea Ross and her partner Jeff of Haverhill, Theresa Ross and her wife Bridget Kelley of Melrose, and was a father figure to Keyla Hackett of Haverhill. He is also survived by his wife Anna-Maria (Jodrey) Ross of Haverhill; loving siblings Anne Carreiro, Kathy Delrossi, Tom Ross, late Jaime Ross Sr., David Ross, late John Ross, Paul Ross, Julia Ross, late Dennis Ross, Danny Ross, Peter Ross, Brian Ross, Kenny Ross; best friend and sister-in-law Karen Ross; and many nieces and nephews."
A service to celebrate Rich's life will be announced here when arrangements have been finalized.
