Priscilla J. Poutre

Priscilla J. (Marks) Poutre, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at age 65.

Priscilla was born in Boston on June 16, 1957, one of three children of the late Ralph H. Marks, Jr. and Barbara (Nauffts) Marks. She was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1975, and from UMASS-Amherst in 1979. She was married to David Poutre and settled in Melrose to raise a family of three children. Priscilla worked in retail sales for Vanity Fair for several years, and had a passion for buying and selling antiques.

A loving, kind and giving woman, Priscilla brightened the lives of everyone around her. She was a selfless mother, strong wife, and entertaining sister and friend. With a zest for life, she enjoyed dancing, singing, and hosting a great party. She was happiest at home, reading a good book, caring for children, and enjoyed a good martini. An expert shopper, she took great joy in antiquing and finding a diamond in the rough for resale at her booth in Peabody.

Independent, and forever loyal, Priscilla was a source of great love, laughter, and strength for her family. She will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered for kind heart, and generous nature. May she rest in peace.

Priscilla was the beloved wife of L. David Poutre with whom she shared 33 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Jensen Poutre of NC, Jessica Hollembeak and her husband RJ of Williamstown, NJ, and Christian Poutre of Melrose. Proud grandmother of Eli and Lucy Hollembeak. Dear sister of Nancy Kerrigan and her husband John of Melrose, and Peter Marks and his wife Gail Troussoff of MD.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, September 5 from 4-7pm, and for her Funeral Service at Trinity Church, 131 W.
