Peter F. Kelly Jr. of Melrose, passed away peacefully at home Saturday December 27, 2025. He was 68 years old.

Peter was born in New York City on September 4, 1957, to the late Peter F. Kelly Sr. And Joan (Connolly) Kelly. The family moved to Guilford Connecticut, where he grew up. Peter's early years were filled with laughter and a sense of adventure, that defined his character, while at the Foote School. He graduated from the Hopkins School and later pursued a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance at Northeastern University in Boston. Peter met his beloved wife, Julie Wilson who became his partner in life and love. They initially settled in the North End before moving to Melrose to raise their family.

Peter's career spanned various sectors within banking, showcasing his versatility and passion for finance. Throughout his life, he embraced every new challenge with tenacity and grace. He enjoyed playing tennis, but his true passion was downhill skiing. He and his family spent many days on the slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain. He cherished long walks with his loyal companion, Molly the dog, and was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox, sharing many joyous moments cheering for his team.

Peter was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, Peter had the ability to bring lightness to any situation, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those around him. 

Peter was the beloved husband of Julie M. Wilson Kelly with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. Devoted father of Corinne Kelly and Emily Kelly. Loving brother of Ellen Kelly, Jennifer Stern, and Brian Kelly. He is also survived by his step-mother Maureen Raso and his oldest friend Marcus Santora.

A celebration of his life will be announced in the summer of 2026.
