Mrs. Pauline (Riopel) Bluette, a resident of Melrose, passed away unexpectedly at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at the age of 70.
Pauline was born on December 19, 1942, one of two children of the late Albert L. Riopel and Claire G. (Cayer) Riopel. Born and raised in Amesbury, Pauline graduated from Amesbury High School.While working in Beacon Hill as a hairdresser, she met her future husband David J. Bluette and they married on May 30, 1966.They lived in Medford for several years, and settled in Melrose to raise a family.
Pauline worked as a hairdresser at Maxine's Hair Salon and Salon De Paul in Melrose.She also worked in Boston as Assistant Manager in a Law Office for 10 years.
Pauline's interests included a love for cooking, arts and crafts, home decorating, needle point, and sewing.She loved her dogs, especially her beloved American Eskimo the late "Lacy," and cherished the time she spent with her family.
She was the beloved wife of David J. Bluette with whom she shared nearly 47 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Michael D. Bluette and his wife Nicole of Saugus, and Matthew A. Bluette of Melrose.Dear sister of Albert L. Riopel of Melrose.Cherished grandmother of Christopher M. Bluette and Megan N. Bluette, both of Saugus.Loving aunt of Becky Riopel of Seattle, WA.
