Paul D. Lamb

Born in Malden, son of the late Albert and Phyllis (Lavin) Lamb. He was a resident of
Melrose for over 60 years and previously resided in Malden. He was a graduate of Malden
High School.
Captain Lamb was appointed to the Melrose Fire Department on June 6,1951. He
was promoted to Lieutenant on November 17,1971. On July 18,1973 he was appointed
Captain and retired on February 19,1980 with 29 years of service to the City of Melrose.
He was a WW II Navy veteran.
He was a member of the Melrose Firefighters Local # 1637 and the Firefighters
Relief Association. He was a member of the Wyoming Lodge of Masons AF & AM. He
was a Baseball and Hockey athlete and was an avid hunter, fisherman and skier.
He was the husband of the lateLouise (Yeaton) Lamb. Father of Paul D. Lamb, Jr.
and his wife Phyllis of North Hampton, NH, Craig Y. Lamb and his wife Judith of
Lynnfield, Scott D. Lamb and his wife Rebecca of Standish,ME, Robin L. Higgins and her
husband Joseph of Melrose and Leslie L. Roark of San Diego,CA. Brother of Kenneth
Lamb of Melrose and the late Albert Lamb and Bernice Lewis. Also survived by 13
grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4:00-8:00 PM.
Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose
