PaulF. Barrett, 86 of Medford died at home on Friday afternoon May 20, 2005. He was born in Boston, May 8, 1919, son of the late Peter Maguire and Mary (Ford) Maguire. Paul was a Security Guard for 31 years at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He was a resident of Medford for 57 years.Paul served in the US Navy (in the Pacific Theatre) during WWII and the Korean War.He was a life member of the American Legion in Medford and the VFW in Bedford. He was a summer resident for 57 years on Plum Island and a life member of the American Yacht Club in Newburyport. Paul was the husband of the late Beverly "Betty" (Wall) Barrett.Father ofP. Steven Barrett and his wife Mimi of Guilford, NH,Ronald P. Barrett and his wife Diane of Newbury and Nancy A. Barrett of Medford.Brother of Madeline Faria of Hingham and the late Peter "Red" Maguire. Grandfather of Heather Lima of Methuen and great grandfather of PaytonLima of Methuen.Uncle of Walter Faria and his wife Ann of Scituate, Betty McGrath of Boise, ID andMitzi Gallahue and her husband Frank of Wakefield.Great Uncle of Mary Faria of Hingham, Katie O'Reilly of Middleboro and Peter Faria of Duxbury.
