Patricia M. (DiTillio) Garron, of Windham, NH and formerly of Malden and Medford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at age 86.
Born on August 23, 1937, she was one of three children of the late Antonio and Mary (Palermo) DiTillio. She was raised in Revere where she graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1955 and attended Wheelock College. On June 15, 1957 she married Richard T. Garron at St. Anthony’s Church in Everett, and they settled in Malden to raise a family of four children. After her children had grown, Pat enjoyed her work as the Human Services Coordinator at Tri-Cap in Malden for many years.
Pat lived for her family in every sense. She cherished time with her children, was so proud of each of her grandchildren, and with sheer dedication, served as the glue and backbone of her family. The family home in Malden served as a central gathering place for friends, neighbors, and generations of family. She was happiest sitting on her front porch chatting with her family and friends for hours, or gathering everyone for a trip to Revere beach, or a cookout in the backyard. True to her Italian roots, she always had an open door and was ready with a hot meal for anyone in need. Warm and loyal, Pat maintained friendships from high school, and had numerous calls daily with her sister Marilyn. A devout Catholic, she was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Hearts Church and lived her faith every day.
With the gift of gab, Pat loved talking with those around her and never hesitated to offer her unfiltered opinion. Most all, her life revolved around family. She will be deeply missed, but her dedication to family will carry on in the hearts and minds of her family.
Pat was the beloved wife of the late Richard T. Garron, Sr. with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Christine DiLeo and her husband Robert of Windham, NH, Richard T. Garron, Jr. and his wife Lynda of Melrose, Maureen Garron of Windham, NH, and Lori A. Vinci and her husband David of Windham, NH. Loving sister of Marilyn Sacramone of Everett, Ralph DiTillio and his wife Debbie of Centerville, and sister-in-law of Irene Raymond of Springvale, ME, and Anna Garron of Everett. Cherished grandmother of Elizabeth Chapman and her husband Brian, Robert DiLeo, Jr., Austin and Spencer Garron, and Jessica, Julia, and Jenna Vinci.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather in honor of Patricia’s life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 9-11am followed by her Funeral Service at 11am. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
