Obituary

“

she met challenges with courage, but it was her warmth, infectious laughter, and caring heart that truly defined her.

Nicole F. "Colie" Olson, a lifelong resident of Everett, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was 21.

Nicole was born in Winchester on December 29, 2004, and was raised and educated in Everett. From an early age, Colie showed a remarkable strength and determination that would become such a part of who she was. Throughout her life, she met challenges with courage, but it was her warmth, infectious laughter, and caring heart that truly defined her.

Known affectionately as "Colie" or "Colie Bird," she was a cherished part of her family and beloved by all who knew her. Colie had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making people laugh. Whether dressing up in her favorite fashions, coloring her hair in fun new shades, showing off her jewelry, or entertaining everyone with her hilarious voices and freestyle rapping, she always brought her own special personality to everything she did. She loved her numerous Fugglers, drawing, writing, music, and movies, especially horror films. Some of her happiest times were spent with family, including their trips to Lake George.

Love also found its way into Colie's life in a special way. On a bus ride to ninth grade, she held the hand of Layne MacMillan. Years later, she was so proud to announce their engagement.

Colie had a way of touching the lives of those around her. Her strength, kindness, selflessness, and ability to find laughter even in difficult moments left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Above all, she was deeply loved by her family, who treasured every moment with her. Though her time with them was far too short, the memories, laughter, and love she leaves behind will remain in their hearts and minds forever.

Nicole was the cherished daughter of Lisa Gallagher of Everett and William "Bill" Olson of Holland, OH. Beloved sister of Alicia Olson and her fiancé Konrad of Nashua, NH, and Justin Olson and his wife Crista Lombard of Nashua, NH. Loving aunt of August and Everleigh Olson of Nashua, NH.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather in honor of Nicole during Visiting Hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, November 13 from 9 AM - 12 PM, followed by her Funeral Service as 12:00 PM. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
