Mrs. Miriam (Russell) Newman, of East Sandwich, formerly of Melrose, died at Falmouth Hospital on March 30, 2004.Mrs. Newman was born in Melrose, daughter of the late Edward W. and Clara I. (Robinson) Russell.
Mrs. Newman was a life-long resident of Melrose and for many years worked as a secretary in the Pathology Department at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Mrs. Newman was the wife of the late George C. Newman.Mother of Beverly Souza and her husband Stephen of East Sandwich.Grandmother of Kristin Souza and David Souza, both of Medford.

Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, Friday April 2 at 11 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
