Michael James 'Mikey' Marcotti

Michael James Marcotti, a lifelong resident of Melrose, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, November 13, 2010 in Boston.He had lived 26 inspirational and fulfilling years with the loving care of his family.

Michael James was born on February 24, 1984 in Melrose, one of three children of A. Douglas Marcotti, Jr. and Alison L. (Wetherbee) Marcotti.

Michael, or "Mikey" to all who knew and loved him, attended Shore Educational Collaborative for several years.His family, although they will miss him dearly, will always remember with a smile, his love for music and lights.

Mikey was the beloved and cherished son of A. Douglas Marcotti, Jr. and Alison L. (Wetherbee) Marcotti of Melrose.Devoted brother of Keith D. Marcotti and Andrea L. Marcotti both of Melrose.Cherished grandson of Elizabeth Wetherbee, the late Alfred D. Wetherbee, Norma J. Marcotti and Arthur D. Marcotti, Sr. all of Melrose.Loving nephew of Philip Wetherbee of Melrose, Debra Schille of Melrose, and Diane Bowen of Stoneham.Loving uncle of Ashlynne and Julian Marcotti both of Melrose.

Funeral Service to honor and celebrate Mikey's life at Trinity Church, 131 W. Emerson St., Melrose on Wednesday, November 17 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday 4-8 PM.Gifts in honor of Mikey's life may be made to the Melrose High School Permanent Scholarship Fund, PO Box 760695, Melrose MA 02176.Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
