Michael C. Ferrara

Michael C. Ferrara, a passionate and larger-than-life individual, passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on October 17, 1942, in New Rochelle, New York, to the late Charles and Margaret (Baselice) Ferrara, Mike led a life filled with an unwavering zeal for living.

During his formative years in New Rochelle, Mike graduated from New Rochelle High School, where he became known for his athleticism and competitive spirit. He excelled in both football and tennis.

Following his high school graduation, Mike pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University. He went on to obtain an Executive MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mike began his professional journey at Westinghouse Electric Company, where he quickly rose to the position of General Manager. Later, he served as the CEO of N.I. World Trade, Marine Optical Group, X-Rite, Microfluidics, and Adlens Corporation, leaving an indelible impact on each organization he touched.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mike had a strong zest for life and an adventurous spirit. He was a dreamer, a true visionary who sought to challenge himself physically and mentally. His infectious energy led him to participate in the New York City Marathon, pushing his own limits and inspiring others along the way. A lover of fitness, he enjoyed playing tennis and cherished his moments spent in Scottsdale, AZ and on Cape Cod. He also travelled the globe, enjoying the people, the culture and the beauty of the world.

Mike was the loving father of Michaela C. Schopperle and her husband Jeff of Wakefield, MA. Brother of Anthony Ferrara.  Proud grandfather of Charles and Audrey Schopperle.

More than likely, Mike is wearing his Armani blazer, sipping a Johnnie Walker Blue and having a chat with Mr. Sinatra.

Services for Mike will remain private.
