Mrs. Mary S. (Chin) Lim, of Wakefield, passed away Friday afternoon, January 12, 2007 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, surrounded by her loving family, after battling cancer.She was 57 years old.

She leaves her husband of 30 years, Charles H. Lim; her sons, Albert B. Lim of Chandler, Arizona and Felix D. Lim of Cambridge; her mother, Sui M. (Wong) Chin of Boston; her siblings, Thomas F. Chin of Boston, Agnes Y. Chin of Randolph, Ann M. Chin of Quincy and James F. Chin of Malden.She also leaves behind a niece, a nephew, and many cousins.She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Lun S. Chin and has lived in Wakefield since 1981.Mrs. Lim was a graduate of the former Girls High School in Boston and attended the Boston Business School.

Mrs. Lim worked as an administrative assistant for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Division of Occupational Safety in West Newton.She continued until her illness required her to stop in late autumn 2006.

She will be remembered as a woman who loved her family, friends, home, and her church.She was an active member of The First United Methodist Church in Melrose.Among her varied interests she loved to read, especially mysteries.Classical music on her favorite radio station WCRB 99.5FM was also a source of enjoyment.She was dedicated to exercise and overall well-being.Mary had an eye for fashion, which led her to many shopping excursions at her beloved Filene's.Of late she developed an interest in crocheting.
