Mrs. Marjorie (Shute) Campbell of Malden, formerly of Melrose, died at her home on Saturday December 6, 2003. Mrs. Campbell was born July 6, 1931 in Melrose, MA, daughter of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Dunn) Shute. Marjorie was a long time resident of Melrose before moving to Malden 16 years ago.Marjorie graduated from Rockport High School, 1949.She was a Registered Nurse in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a Registered Nurse at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 18 years and then at the Normandy House Nursing Home in Melrose for 23 years. Marjorie was the mother of Dorothy M. "Dossie" Campbell and her companion Dan Piering of Rockport, John P. Campbell Jr. and his wife Cindy of Melrose, Richard P. Campbell and his wife Arlyne and Kevin J. Campbell, all of Marblehead, David C. Campbell of Lowell,Marjorie Jean Chan and her husband Gene, Deborah A. "Debi" Doody and her husband John, all of Tewksbury and Timothy J. Campbell and his wife Kerri of Malden.Sister of Norma Hendrickson of Rockport, Edward Parker Shute andFrances Kerr both of FL and Austin Shute of MO.Also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Main St.,Wakefield, Wednesday December 10,2003 at10AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Gifts in her memory should be made to VNA Hospice Middlesex East, 607 North Ave., Wakefield, MA01880 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA01701. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Rockport. Arrangements by Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose.
