Lydia "Mollie" (Lewis) Holmes, 75, an 18 year resident of York, Maine, died Friday morning, October 21, 2005 at the York Hospital in York, Maine. Mollie was born in Detroit, Michigan, July 30, 1930, daughter of the late Gurney Lewis and Hester (Bray) Lewis. Mollie graduated from Melrose High School and was a Melrose resident for most of her life. She was a legal secretary with McAvoy and McAvoy in Melrose for over 30 years. "Mollie" was the loving wife of the late Robert W. Holmes and the devoted mother of Robert W. Holmes of Manchester, NH,Nancy B. Taylor of Auburn, NH and Elizabeth A. Clement of Haverhill. She was the devoted sister of Arthur Lewis of Plano, TX, Grace Tymann of Byfield, Ruth Trites of Cape Neddick, ME and the late Donald B. Lewis. She was the cherished grandmother of Matthew Taylor of NY, Robert W. Holmes of TX, Christopher Muise of Boston and Kathryn Muise of FL. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, TuesdayOctober 25from 4-8 PM..Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. MA
