Obituary

He loved riding his motorcycle, especially the annual trips to Ogunquit, Maine, with his wife Valerie and family.

Kevin F. LeBlanc, a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and longtime resident of Peabody, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 22, 2026. He was 76.

Born in Melrose on January 26, 1950, Kevin was one of seven children of the late Richard LeBlanc and Eileen (Monohan) LeBlanc. Raised and educated in Malden, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps before graduating from high school. Kevin served honorably during the Vietnam War, where his courage earned him the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat "V" and the Combat Action Ribbon, honors that reflected his bravery and unwavering commitment to fellow Marines.

Following his return home, Kevin built a career in the construction industry, where his strong work ethic and dependable presence were well suited to the trades. Introduced by a mutual friend, he met Valerie Wilde, the love of his life. They were married on September 12, 1987 and together built a life in Peabody, sharing 28 years of steadfast love, companionship, and devotion.

The experiences and values that the Marine Corp instilled in Kevin remained with him: loyalty, honor, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. A man of few words, he had a strong sense of right and wrong and a quiet strength that endeared him to family and friends. With a tough exterior but deeply caring, Kevin was fiercely protective of his family, and always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Kevin found peace in life's simpler moments. He loved riding his motorcycle, especially the annual trips to Ogunquit, Maine, with his wife Valerie and family.

Kevin's life was marked by service, resilience, and steadfast loyalty. Kevin was deeply loved by those fortunate enough to know him. His strength, generosity, and quiet devotion to family will be remembered always.

May he rest in the peace he so deserves. Semper Fidelis.

Kevin was the beloved husband of the late Valerie (Wilde) LeBlanc with whom he shared 28 years of marriage. Dear brother of Joan Mallett and her late husband Lloyd of Newmarket, NH, Michael LeBlanc of Seabrook, NH, Audrey Plavetsky and her partner Richard Jerrell of Derry, NH, Eileen Coggins and her late husband William of Derry, NH, Kathleen LeBlanc of Malden and the late Richard “Dickie” LeBlanc and his surviving wife Catherine of Malden. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather during Visiting Hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Wednesday, July 15 from 8:00-10:00am, followed by his Funeral Service at 10am. Interment with military honors by the US Marine Corps at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
