Kerri Mary Scott, lifelong resident of Melrose, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 6, 2017, at age 22.
Born on November 28, 1994, Kerri was raised and educated in Melrose where she had many friends. A bubbly young lady, Kerri was always smiling and laughing about something. She was an honest, straight shooter who never hesitated to tell you how she felt.
Kerri was an animal lover. She grew up with a Golden Retriever in the house, and formed a lifelong bond with their dog, Brandon. She loved her family, her friends, and was so attached to her little nephew and Godson, Jaiden. She was so excited to be a godmother and welcomed Jaiden with open arms and lots of love. In recent years, Kerri worked at the Mobil Mart on Main Street in Melrose, but was happiest surrounded by friends and family. She enjoyed summer weekends in Lebanon, Maine at their summer house on Milton Three Ponds.
Kerri will be lovingly remembered for bringing smiles and laughter wherever she went. She lit up the room whenever she walked in with a joke, a funny comment, or just her honest opinions. She will be missed, and always lovingly remembered.
Kerri was the beloved daughter of William R. Scott of Melrose and his fiancé Dina Pedrick of Medford, and Christine Troiano and her husband Robert of Woburn. Cherished granddaughter of Patricia Katulian and the late Lawrence P. Scott of Peabody, and Sandra McKeon and the late James McKeon of Hudson, FL. Loving sister Kayla Scott of Melrose, and John Almeida of Wakefield. Proud godmother and aunt of Jaiden Murphy of Melrose. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor of Kerri during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, Feb. 13 from 4-8pm, and again on Tuesday morning at 9:30am before leaving in procession to Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield for her Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:30am. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
