Katherine B. (Gibson) Fowlie, 83, of Stoneham, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born on August 30, 1943, Katherine was one of four children of the late Kenneth V. and Catherine (Morrison) Gibson.

Katherine was the beloved wife of the late Roy W. Fowlie, Sr. Prior to residing at Greenwood Nursing Home, she lived at her home in Stoneham, MA for 57 years.

Katherine retired from Stoneham Cooperative Bank, where she worked as an administrative assistant in the Mortgage division.

An avid crafter, Katherine had a talent for arts and crafts, creating beautiful pinecone wreaths and ceramic Christmas trees that she shared with family and friends. She loved to travel and cherished time spent with loved ones around her pool. Katherine had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that was easy to love. She and Roy shared a passion for music and dancing, and she treasured every opportunity to go out and enjoy an evening on the town with him.

Katherine was the beloved wife of fifty-six years to the late Roy W. Fowlie. Devoted mother of Deborah Fowlie of Wakefield, Pamela Kehoe and husband Sean of Kensington, NH, and Roy W. “Buster” Fowlie, Jr., and wife Jennifer of Mountain City, TN. Cherished Grandmother of Brittnie Davies and Alayna Davies Corcoran and husband Michael. Loving sister of David Gibson and wife Ginny, Kenneth Gibson, and the late Stephen H. “Spanky” Gibson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services for Katherine will remain private. Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
