Joseph L. DeCicco

Joseph Lawrence DeCicco, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Joseph lived a long and meaningful life guided by faith, hard work, and deep devotion to his loved ones. He had a successful career as an engineer at Raytheon Missile Systems and was admired for his integrity, intelligence, and quiet leadership.

Beyond his work, Joseph found joy in life's simple pleasures-time with family, good conversation, and peaceful days by the water. He had a special love for the ocean and spent many cherished days yachting and enjoying his two homes in Cape Cod and Florida.

Above all, Joseph was a family man-and an extraordinary father. He led with kindness, patience, and wisdom, offering unwavering support and unconditional love. His presence brought calm, humor, and a deep sense of comfort to all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his children, Joseph DeCicco, Gary DeCicco and significant other, Kim, Karen Allan and her husband Paul Allan, Noelle Spinosa-McCullock and her husband Michael McCullock. He was a proud grandfather to Aurora Freda, Joseph Spinosa, Victoria, Linda and Naomi DeCicco; and a great-grandfather to Stella Lucente-Stabile. He also leaves behind his sister, Ann Rainone, and her family; his brother-in-law, Victor Bruno, and his wife Marilyn; as well as many cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Joseph's life was full of love, warmth, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather in honor of Joseph's life during Visiting Hours at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, on Friday, June 6 from 4-7pm, and again on Saturday, June 7 at 8:45am before leaving in procession to the Lazarus Center for Healing Shrine, formerly St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield, for his Funeral Mass celebrated at 10am.
