Obituary

Joseph B. Blake, of Saugus, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the age of 66.

Born on December 7, 1959, in Brighton to the late Bernard W. and Mary T. (MacKenzie) Blake, Joseph grew up in Saugus, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with passion, laughter, and love.

A proud graduate of Northeast Vocational School in Wakefield, Joseph possessed a keen intellect and a remarkable talent for engineering. His career, spanning over four decades, took him to Paradigm Manufacturing in Malden, and later to Magellan Aerospace, where he specialized in manufacturing engineering. His love for his work was evident, and he dedicated his career to excellence in the manufacturing industry.

In 1987, Joseph married his beloved wife, Linda J. Audet, and together they raised their family in Saugus. Joseph had a unique ability to make people laugh, a gift that friends and family will remember fondly. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, golfing, reading, exploring the wonders of astronomy and taking trips to New Hampshire. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.

Joseph’s life reflected dedication and passion. He took great pleasure in the simple joys of life, whether it was enjoying a beer by the pool with friends, golfing with his buddies on Saturday, watching Jeopardy, or just looking at the night sky.

As we remember Joseph, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of family. His memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Linda J. (Audet) Blake with whom he shared 38 years of marriage. Devoted father of Timothy J. Blake of Revere and Alicia M. Blake and her partner Ralph Savarese of Florida. Loving brother of Anne Blake and her partner Jenny Crampe of Boston, Susan Dunkerley and her late partner Phil Light of Newton, NH, Paul Blake and his fiancé Kim Baker of Rowley, and John Blake and his partner Dennis Hardesty of Los Angeles, CA. He will be greatly missed by his sister-in-law Michelle Audet of Revere and he is also loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
