Jose Domingo Salvador was born on April 8, 1941, and his birthplace was in the rural area of Benavides, San Alejo, department of La Union El Salvador.
Jose physically departed this life on May 27, 2025, at 10:40am in Sancta Maria Nursing Facility located in Cambridge, MA.
In El Salvador, he joined the armed forces at young age, and he spent many years providing military services in customs, and he also worked in the public health department prior to leaving El Salvador to migrate to USA in the early 80's and relocating himself in Houston, TX. After the arrival of his family to Houston, TX in the mid 80's, he relocated to Boston, MA in the late 80's where he spent the remaining of his life.
He worked and retired from Hertz rental car at the age of 65 and after his retirement he devoted himself to spent qualify time with his wife, children, and grandkids. He loved to travel to El Salvador on a yearly basis after his retirement. He loved gardening, cooking, and he was an enthusiastic and aficionado of the Red Sox. He knew all the names of the players and watched all the season regular games.
Even though he didn't drink alcohol, He was a contributor and sponsored groups of Alcoholic anonymous in Boston, MA.
He is survived and living behind his wife Maria Salvador of 59 years of married, his youngest daughter Evelyn Morasca and husband Frank Morasca with grandsons Alesio and Matteo , Son Rudy Salvador and wife Jeanette Salvador with grandsons Giovanni and Cristian, daughter Rosie Niland and husband Michael Niland with grandson Oscar David and granddaughter Briana, and oldest Son Wilfredo Salvador with wife Yasmine Salvador with grandson James Alexander and wife Alissa and great grandson Oliver Keanu.
He also leaves behind extended family brother-in-law Antonio Espinal and sister-in-law Gloribel Buruca with her daughter Karina and her son Oscar Buruca, and his honorary cousin Lichita Paniagua with husband Santos and their children.
Jose will be remembered for always having a smile, kindness, and love for his family!
Relatives and friends are invited to gather in honor of Jose's life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Sunday, June 1 from 2-5 pm, and again on Monday morning at 9:30am before leaving in procession to St. Joseph's Parish, 770 Salem St., Malden for his Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:30am. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
