Joan L. (Livingston) Finamore, a long-time resident of Malden, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, at The Atrium at Drum Hill in Chelmsford. She was 92 years old.
Born in Stoneham on September 11, 1933, Joan was the cherished daughter of the late William B. and Hazel (Panarello) Livingston. She was raised and educated in Malden, where she graduated from Malden High School, forming lifelong friendships and a deep affection for her hometown community.
Joan went on to marry the love of her life, Michael J. Finamore, and together they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and shared adventure.
Professionally, Joan work as a bookkeeper at Bank of America for 15 years.
Outside of work, Joan found great joy in life's simple pleasures and the company of those she loved. She and Michael treasured their summers at their lakeside home on Baboosic Lake in Amherst, New Hampshire, where they welcomed all for countless happy gatherings. Joan also loved traveling, whether embarking on cruises, exploring destinations around the world, or enjoying memorable trips with close friends, she embraced every opportunity to experience new places and create lasting memories.
Even after her diagnosis with Alzheimer's disease, Joan's strength, grace, and gentle spirit continued to shine. She remained in Malden for as long as possible, surrounded by familiar faces and the comfort of home.
Joan will be remembered for her kindness, her loyalty, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. She lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Joan was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Finamore. Loving niece of Marion Panarello of Malden. Dear cousin of Carolyn Millard of Chelmsford. Cherished family friend of Joseph Duffy and his wife Diane of Litchfield, NH, Paula Dulong and her husband Kenneth of Brooksville, FL, and Karen Foster and her husband Brian of North Billerica. Also predeceased by her beloved dog Sabeau.
Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of Joan for Visiting Hours at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, Melrose on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 4-6 PM, and again on Wednesday, Nov. 5 for her Funeral Service at 11AM. Private interment in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
