Mrs. Janice K. (Collins) McAlpine a long-time resident of Melrose died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the Epoch Health Care Center in Melrose. Mrs. McAlpine was born July 6, 1939 in Wellsburg, WV, daughter of the late Orville and Virginia W. (Lazear) Collins.
Mrs. McAlpine had worked many years as a service representative for Fleet Bank in Charlestown. Life partner of 27 years of Kenneth R. Figueira of Melrose. Mother of Richard McAlpine of Weirton, WV and Barbara Wielki of Braintree. Sister of Larry Collins of Avella, PA, Beatrice "Betty" Workman and Bernie Collins, both of Wellsburg, WV, Doris Duvall of AL and the late Glenn Collins. Aunt of Jim Burns of Wellsburg, WV.Also survived by 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Visiting Hours at the Robinson Funeral Home 809 Main St. MELROSEFriday May 6, 4-8 PM. Funeral services are private. Interment will be private.
