James E. Viola

He was born in Malden,December 6, 1926,son of the late James E and Marian
(Angell) Viola.
Jim spent 17 years in the US Army having served in both WWII and Korea.He was a Glass Art Artist with his own shop in Gloucester. He was well known
for his glass work and created a new form of glass art.His glass work has been shown at the
Guggenheim Musuem in New York for many years.
He was thehusband of Maidel "Del" (Dustin) Viola.Father of James
E."Jimmy"Viola III of Melrose.Long time family friend of the late Charles and Louise
Lodie.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Monday Feb.
24 at 8AM.Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Melrose at9 AM.Relatives and
friends are respectfully invited.
Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose, MA
