Mrs. Hettie M. (Cox) Morris of Melrose died Wednesday afternoon, February 16, 2005 at the Woburn Nursing Center in Woburn, MA.
Mrs. Morris was born in Newfoundland, Canada, December 17, 1919, daughter of the late Arthur W. and Elsie M. (King) Cox.
Mrs. Morris had worked as a teacher in Canada before coming to the United States in 1968.She worked at Wellesley College for many years.She and her late husband, Lester had shared 13 years of marriage and were long-time residents of Melrose.
Wife of the late Lester Morris.Sister of Mary Winsor and her husband Eric of Saugus and the late Florence Whitehouse, Gladys Rogers and Dorothy Moore. Also survived by 4 nieces and 3 nephews and many great nieces and nephews.Dear friend and companion of Charles Murdock of Melrose.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, Melrose, Friday February 18 at 6:30PM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.A Visitation will be held Friday from 5 - 6:30 pm. Gifts in her memory may be made to the Woburn Nursing Center, Resident Council Fund, 18 Frances St., Woburn, 01801 or to Hospice Care, Inc., 41 Montvale Ave., Stoneham 02180.
