Glenn A. Perduyn

Glenn A. Perduyn, resident of Stoneham, and formerly of Melrose, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Tufts Medical Center, he was 48.  Glenn was born on February 16, 1975, in Cambridge, one of three children of Claire (Johnson) Perduyn and the late Glenn A. Perduyn.

Growing up in Melrose, Glenn was a true Melrose Red Raiders fan and graduated from Melrose High School in 1993. During his time in high school, Glenn excelled athletically and proudly served as the defensive captain of the football team. It was during his high school years that Glenn met the love of his life, Jennifer O’Neil.

After high school, Glenn continued to pursue his passion for football at New Hampton Prep School. Following his studies, Glenn dedicated himself to the construction industry, working many years for the Lepore Roofing Company. With his strong work ethic and determination, he established and operated his own construction company for over a decade.

Glenn will be remembered as a down-to-earth individual who cherished the simple joys in life. He took immense pride in being a loving and supportive father to his children, dedicating countless hours coaching his son Glenn’s youth baseball and lacrosse teams. He was always behind the glass cheering on his daughter Lyla at her many hockey games.

In his free time, Glenn supported his favorite Boston sports teams, particularly the New England Patriots. He enjoyed playing golf and vacationing on Cape Cod over the years -- where he created lasting memories with his family and friends. Family was everything to Glenn, and he treasured every moment spent with his loved ones.

Glenn will forever be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. His compassionate nature, reflective spirit, and laid-back demeanor endeared him to everyone he met. Glenn's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him.

Glenn was the beloved husband of Jennifer (O’Neil) Perduyn with whom he shared 20 years of marriage.  Devoted father of Lyla and Glenn P. Perduyn.  Loving brother of Karen Perduyn and her husband Alesandro Cucci of Wakefield, and Kimberly Perduyn of Melrose.  Adored uncle of Hannah and Evan Oberton, Ryan and Brendan Morris, and Noelle Conlin.

Family and friends are invited to honor Glenn’s life during Visiting Hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, on Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 4-8pm, and again on Thursday at 9am before leaving in procession to St. Patrick’s Parish, 71 Central St., Stoneham, for his Funeral Mass celebrated at 10am.
