Francis M. "Frank" Stoney, a resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, at age 92.

Frank was born in Boston on February 9, 1933, son of the late Walter Stoney and Lena (Belinsky) Stoney. He served honorably in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1955 while stationed in Alaska. After receiving an honorable discharge, he married Caroline Donnarumma on May 5, 1957 and settled in Everett to raise a family. 

Frank worked as a Supervisor for the Malden Knitting Mills for many years, and as mail handler for the United States Postal Service. In his free time, he enjoyed coin collecting, working on his computer, and spending time with his son, Ken. A 36 year resident of Everett, he was also parishioner of St. Joseph's Church before moving to Melrose in 1999.

Frank was a dedicated family man who enjoyed time with family whether at home in Everett or visiting his siblings. He will be deeply missed, but always lovingly remembered.

Frank was beloved husband of Caroline (Donnarumma) Stoney with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Devoted father of Kenneth M. Stoney of Amesbury. Cherished brother of Carolyn Jobsky and her husband William of Alton, NH, Cynthia Vey and her husband Joseph of Keystone Heights, FL, Jeanne Stoney of Spring Hills, FL, Barbara Castanheira and her husband Carlos of Peabody and the late Raymond Stoney, Walter Edward Stoney and Leona Lotz. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank's services will be private. Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park with military honors by the US Air Force.
