Elliot Hildreth Knowlton
Elliot H. Knowlton was born on May 13, 1915 in Malden, one of two sons of the late John Knowlton and Mary (Hobbs) Knowlton.
He was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School.He served his country honorably in the US Army Air Corps during World War II before graduating from Northeastern University.
For many years, Mr. Knowlton worked in the insurance industry.He was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church, loved the ocean, going for long walks, and watching football.Above all else, Elliot was a deeply devoted family man to his five children and four grandchildren.
Elliot Hildreth Knowlton was the former husband of Pauline (Edkins) Knowlton.Devoted father of David Knowlton and his wife Rita of Bradford, Louise Barnes and her husband Kenneth of Lawrence, Carl Knowlton and his wife Robin of S. Easton, Karen Knowlton of Melrose, and Robert Knowlton and his wife Debra of North Salem, NY.Dear brother of the late Warren P. Knowlton.Cherished grandfather of Sasha, Haleigh, Emily, and Samuel.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose Tuesday, November 2 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Monday from 4-8 PM.Interment with military honors presented by the US Air Force in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
