Elizabeth L. (Kagarise) Denier, a longtime resident of Saugus, died on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

Born in Roaring Spring, PA, Elizabeth was the daughter of Fred and Hulda Kagarise. She attended Waynesburg University, where she met her late husband, Thomas.

Elizabeth worked for many years as an archivist at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, NY. She enjoyed bicycling and square dancing. She was also active in Presbyterian Women.

Survivors include her son Thomas, her son Timothy and his wife Mary, her daughter Anne, and her brother John and his wife Dorothy.

At Elizabeth's request, there will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church in LaGrangeville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heifer Project or the Carter Center.
