Eleanor R. Stamegna

Eleanor R. (Ventura) Stamegna, resident of Melrose, passed away on Wednesday, April 23,2025.  She was 95.

Born in Somerville on September 5, 1929, she was one of three children of the late Vincent and Anna (Strozza) Ventura. She grew up in Somerville, graduating from St. Joseph School.

Eleanor worked as a receptionist for Schertzer Trucking in Somerville.

Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her beloved family.

Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Vincenzo "Vincent" Stamegna with whom she shared 70 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Annette Anderson and her husband Warren of Lynnfield. Loving grandmother of Gregory Anderson and his wife Emily, Glen Anderson, Garrett Anderson, and great-grandmother of Jack. Dear sister of the late Mary Crowell and Gilda Kaszanek.
