Donna was born in Winthrop on May 10, 1955, one of two children of the late Orlando DiPasquale and Barbara (Keefe) DiPasquale. She was raised in Revere and graduated from Fitton High School in East Boston. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Boston State College and a Master's in Special Education from Lesley University.
Donna dedicated her life to the service of others as a Special Education teacher for the Revere Public Schools, where she focused her passion on preschool children. Her commitment to nurturing and educating made a lasting impact on many students.
Beyond her professional life, Donna possessed a vibrant spirit that she shared through her love of cooking and baking. A movie enthusiast and a devoted reader, Donna cherished the moments spent enjoying stories whether they unfolded on the big screen or within the pages of a good book.
A fiercely protective matriarch, Donna was the heart of her family. Her caring nature, boundless love, and unwavering strength were sources of comfort and guidance. She lived her life with compassion, always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own, and her legacy of kindness will forever live on within those she loved.
Donna was the beloved wife of Richard Kaplan. Loving mother of Rebecca L. Kaplan of Melrose. Dear sister of Stephen DiPasquale and his wife Bonnie of Uxbridge, and sister-in-law of David Kaplan and his wife Cindi of Barrington, RI, and Ronnie Kaplan and his wife Ann of Pittsburgh, PA. Caring aunt of Michael and Brian DiPasquale of Uxbridge, Chad Kaplan of Barrington, RI, and Laura McGreevy of Providence, RI.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather during Visiting Hours on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 1-2pm, followed by her Funeral Service at 2pm.
