Donna (Brady) Decareau, of Boston, passed peacefully yet unexpectedly on Thursday, November 13, 2025. She was 61.
Born in Chelsea on January 20, 1964, Donna was a cherished daughter of the late Wendall and Caroline (Wheeler) Brady. She grew up surrounded by the laughter and love of her Chelsea neighborhood, roots that shaped the warmth she carried throughout her life.
Donna was pure sunshine-sweet, playful, and endlessly generous with her heart. She poured love into every moment with her family, doting on her children with a tenderness that knew no bounds, whipping up delicious meals and treats in the kitchen, and always opening her door (and her arms) to anyone in need. To her children, nieces, nephews, siblings, and countless friends, she was simply irreplaceable: the world's best Mom, the coolest Aunt, and the sister who made every day brighter.
Her joys were simple and perfect scoops of ice cream shared with a smile, favorite songs filling the room, and the quiet happiness of being surrounded by the people she adored.
Donna's light will live on in every story told, every recipe passed down, and every heart she touched. She will be missed beyond words, but her love will never fade.
Donna was the devoted mother of Donna Diaz of Fayetteville, NC and Mark Decareau of Charlotte, NC. Loving sister of Desiree Taylor of Melrose, Cindy Hall and Darlene Bruno. Cherished grandmother of Julicia Mejia of Revere, Walter Mejia of Salem, Isabella Poole and Mckayla Poole. Dear aunt Felicia Taylor of Everett, Brittney Taylor of South Carolina, Victoria Oliva of Maine, Joseph Granara of East Boston, Bruce Brady of Weymouth, Jacob Murphy of Maine, and survived by numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of Donna's life will be announced in the coming weeks.
