Obituary

David Dardzinski, 70, of Saugus, left this earthly life to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Born on March 22, 1956 in Saugus to the late Mitchel M. and Helen (Sobutka) Dardzinski, he grew up in Saugus and was a proud graduate of Saugus High School, where his curiosity and zest for life first began to blossom. He went on to earn a certificate in TIG welding at Wentworth Institute in Boston.

David found his calling as a TIG welder and machinist, working at various machine shops on the North Shore over the years. For the past twelve years, he was employed by
B-C-D Metal Products in Malden, where he worked as a Multitasking Technician. He thrived in a hands-on environment, showcasing his remarkable skills and pure enjoyment for the work he did. Whether he was welding, woodworking, or constructing furniture, David's creations bore the mark of his talent and passion for the Industrial Arts. David also spent some time working as a local commercial fisherman/lobsterman during his working career.

An avid outdoorsman, David had a deep appreciation for nature. He spent many hours reveling in the tranquility of the Maine and New Hampshire woods, enjoying and observing the wild animals and snowmobiling. His love for weight training, martial arts, and cycling kept him fit and always ready for the next adventure. He had a keen interest in and deep knowledge of health and nutrition, which he generously shared with others. And when it came to his hobbies, David truly embraced life-he built models, worked on muscle cars and trucks, explored the wonders of astronomy through telescopes, and loved indulging in sci-fi movies, especially the adventures of Star Trek.

David's generous spirit was felt by everyone who knew him. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, sharing both his time and his talents. His faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his life, and he never hesitated to share with others the hope and joy he found in his beliefs.

David will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the joy he brought to those blessed to know and love him.

David was the loving brother of Daniel M. Dardzinski of Saugus and Nancy P. Flanagan and her husband Matt of East Longmeadow, and the late M. Joseph Dardzinski. Cherished uncle of Kaila (Flanagan) Gildersleeve and her husband Phil of Westfield, and Kristen Flanagan and her husband Kyle Ransom of Enfield, CT, and cherished great uncle of Eleanor Gildersleeve of Westfield.

Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of David's life during Visiting Hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, Melrose, on Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 4-7pm. Funeral services for David will take place at the Robinson Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 10am. Private interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield.
