IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carole M. C.
Iannillo
November 29, 1955 – March 1, 2026
Funeral Mass
St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish
Starts at 10:00 am
Carole M. C. Iannillo, a resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 1, 2026. She was 70.
Born in Winthrop on November 29, 1955, Carole was one of three children of the late Anthony Iannillo Sr. and Cecile M. (Delwart) Iannillo. Raised and educated in Revere, she grew up near the sights and sounds of Revere Beach. Throughout her life, the sea remained a place of comfort and reflection.
Carole's life was defined by her devotion to family and her deep faith. She raised her daughter, Christine, with unwavering love, guidance, and selfless support. Carole took great pride in creating a home rooted in kindness, respect for all, and steady loving care.
She began her working life as a waitress at The Wharf in Revere where she worked for over 10 years. Later, she found her true calling in working for nonprofit organizations, like the Walnut Street Center in Malden and Cooperative for Human Services in Lexington, doing bookkeeping and accounting. In these roles, Carole combined her practical skills with her heartfelt desire to make a difference, finding fulfillment in work helping others.
A devoted parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Carole's faith guided her daily life. She served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a dedicated member of the Baptism Team. She was also deeply involved with A Servant's Heart Food Pantry, often collecting and organizing food donations for those in need. Her quiet generosity and willingness to serve were hallmarks of her character.
Carole found comfort in visits to York Beach in Maine with her partner Wayne DeAmelio, trips to Rockport with family, and moments spent by the ocean. Above all, Carole cherished time with her grandchildren and her beloved grandpup, Jack. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by family. Carole will be deeply missed, but her selfless spirit, steadfast faith, and enduring love for her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather in honor of Carole's life at St. Mary' Church, Herbert St., Melrose on Saturday, March 21 for her Funeral Mass at 10am. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Gifts in Carole's memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or online at www.dana-farber.org/gift
