Brian W. Quinlan, of Melrose, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 48.

Born on February 12, 1977, in Winchester, Brian grew up in Melrose, where he was both a beloved son and a cherished friend. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1995, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Brian was a long-time employee of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and was stationed at Logan Airport in Boston.

Brian was known for his kind, generous spirit and his heartfelt dedication to family. He cherished moments spent with loved ones, particularly during family get-togethers, where laughter and warmth were abundant. A passionate sports enthusiast, Brian had a special love for all Boston teams, with the New England Patriots holding a special place in his heart and Curtis Martin was his favorite player.

In addition to his love for sports, Brian enjoyed playing golf and was a devoted fan of Star Wars and the cherished films of the 1980s. He enjoyed trips to Florida which brought him much happiness, each visit reinforcing his appreciation for the sun and tranquility.

Although his time with us was too brief, Brian's warmth and kindness will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love and enthusiasm that will resonate with family and friends for years to come.

Brian was the beloved son of Barbara (Hafner) Quinlan of Melrose and Shaun Quinlan of Melbourne Beach, FL. He was the loving brother of John J. Quinlan of Peabody and the proud uncle of Troy, Cole, and Mia Quinlan. Brian was the cherished nephew of Patricia Buker of Wakefield, William Hafner of Billerica, and William Quinlan and his wife Mary of Stoneham.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather in honor of Brian on Friday, May 30th at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield (please meet at church) for his Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Private interment at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
