Born on August 30, 1928, in Dedham, Barbara was one of two children of the late Robert and Ellen (Anderson) Weber. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. A proud graduate of Dedham High School in 1946, she began working as a receptionist at State Street Bank, before dedicating her life to raising her beloved family.

Known for her sweet disposition and kind heart, she had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever she went, bringing laughter and joy to those around her. Her passion for community involvement was evident as a member of the Melrose Garden Club, Theta, and as a devoted 50-year member of the First Congregational Church in Melrose, where she actively participated in the Circle 4 group.
In her leisure time, Barbara and Grover cherished moments spent at the family home in Wells, Maine, and enjoyed winters in Naples, Florida, where she enjoyed shuffleboard. Barbara and Grover also enjoyed traveling together with the VFW, where she made lasting memories. Barbara also held a special place in her heart for her Cefalo House friends and her beloved granddogs, who brought her endless joy.
Barbara's life was a testament to the value of connection, love, and friendship. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Grover C. Wellington, Jr. with whom she shared 38 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Stacy L. LaQuaglia and her husband Frank of Sanbornton, NH, and Sandra L. Venuti and her husband Robert of Melrose. Loving sister of the late Robert Weber and his late wife Frances. Cherished grandmother of Alexandra and Matthew Venuti, Kathryn LaQuaglia, and Stephanie LaQuaglia and her husband Dave Merken.
