Barbara C. (Bevens) Russo, 86 of Stoneham, formerly of Wakefield and Everett died peacefully Sunday morning March 12, 2006 at the Melrose Care Center in Melrose with her three loving daughters at her bedside. Barbara was born in Boston February 20, 1920, daughter of the late Ralph Bevens and Mary (Connolly) Bevens. Mrs. Russo was raised in Boston and for many years was a Hearing Assistant for the Social Security Administration, retiring in 1984.Barbara loved Ballroom Dancing and was also a volunteer at the Stoneham Senior Center.
Barbara was the wife of the late Salvatore "Carl" Petricone. Loving companion of Ed Yarusites of Middleboro.Beloved mother of JoanM. Pinksten and her husband Jim of Sandown, NH, Karla E. Ficker and her husbandKim of Fryeburg, ME and Theresa L. "Teri" Walsh of Stoneham. Devoted sister of Lillian "Lil" Douglas of Revere, Dorothea "Dottie" Giddings of Wilmington and Elizabeth "Betty" Woodman of Lexington.Also survived by 8grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
