Mrs. Barbara L. (Elliott) Berg, a longtime resident of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Oosterman's Rest Home in Wakefield.She was 85 years old.

Barbara Berg was born in Roslindale on March 19, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles H. Elliott and Jessie M. (Waugh) Elliott.

Mrs. Berg was raised in Roslindale and graduated from Roslindale High School.She worked at the YMCA in Boston for several years, but for most of her life was a proud and happy homemaker.She enjoyed horseback riding, playing guitar, skiing, canoeing, country western music, hiking, and walking.

She was the beloved wife of the late Henry R. Berg with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.Loving aunt of Richard E. Linck and his wife Sandra of Hudson, NH, John C. Linck of Malden and his late wife Kathleen Linck, and Laura L. Hodgin and her husband Edward of Malden.Also survived by many loving grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday, November 30 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Monday from 4-8 PM.Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Boston.
