Audrey Sally Slattery
Sally was born in Providence, RI, June 12, 1916 daughter of the late Sidney S. Paine and Audrey Lydia (Lake) Paine.
Sally was raised in Massachusetts and later moved to Greensboro, NC.She attended Ward-Belmont Junior College and later became an Occupational Therapist (OT) with the American Red Cross.It was through her OT career that she met a special patient, John Slattery who later became her husband of nearly 34 years.Sally, an artistic person, who was known for her outstanding sketching and drawing abilities, also served as an aide at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA in the 1970's.She and her late husband made their home in Melrose, MA from 1955-1993.
Sally was the beloved wife of the late John J. Slattery.Loving mother of John P. Slattery and his wife Lori of Fairfax Station, VA and Kathy Slattery of Manlius, NY.She was the cherished grandmother of Shannon N. Slattery,Riley C. Slattery and J. Connor Slattery all of Fairfax Station, VA.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. MELROSE, MA Monday January 10, 2005 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 PM.Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose, MA.Gifts in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association of Central NY, 441 West Kirkpatrick Street, Syracuse, NY13204.
