Alva was a former 50 year resident of Melrose and a long time member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Melrose.
Alva was the wife of the late S. Roy Jeffery.Mother of S. Robert Jeffery and his wife Mary W. of Brockton and Sherrill G. Williams and her husband Howard of Hudson, NH.Sister of Gertrude B. Alley of Lynnfield, George R. Kelloway of Saugus and the late Ralph V. Kelloway, Reverend Ernest Kelloway, Matthew Kelloway, Mary Ashley, Walter Kelloway, William Kelloway and Mildred LaCarte. Grandmother of Mark S. Jeffery and his wife Denise of Lake Hoptacong, NJ, Pamela D. Jeffery of Woburn and Kimberly B. Mills and her husband Jonathan of Newark, DE. Great grandmother of MacKenzie G. Mills and Wesley W. Mills both of Newark, DE.
